I have Lenovo W530 from around 2012 or so. It has Nvidia K1000M card, full of RAM, i7. I kept upgrading it over the years and used Windows. I have decided to get back to FreeBSD, I used it as desktop 2002-2009 or so. Downloaded 15.0, start

TL;DR: * Kotlin with compose multi platform started catching up and winning the market. * Apple got worried and started supporting Swift on android, not fully yet, UI only available with external tools. * Qt with C++ still winning it all. *

I always go for Qt for this(with C++ for bigger project and Python for lighter). There's also Delphi, which ticks all the nice boxes for UI requirements. But licencing is tricky there, not everything is available in community edition a

Python, along with C++ enjoys the benefits of Qt. You can build great stuff with cross-platform Qt. And it won't be webview(Electron / Tauri) based. What would be the benefits of this? I can't think of any yet.
