Thank you for your response. I have a better understanding now. How is spam dealt with? Do people get banned quickly? Also, who archives these emails. Do they automatically get archived for public viewing?

This would never happen at Amazon and I am sure at every other major tech company. There are systems in place to prevent exactly this.

I think it is too convenient to differentiate between work and personal views when the view is unpopular but not draw that distinction when the view is popular.

I wonder what would make people happy. Amazon should have opened their HQ2 in Bangalore. They wouldn't face this much criticism there and people would welcome it.
