This is a great idea! I haven't seen anything like it and also I think you kill of the forum to discuss photos and just attach comments to photos directly (sort of like instagram). Wonder if there is anything legally against chipping in l

I like this idea. Now do you propose that a municipality create a startup accelerator with the requirement for funding being that you are willing to relocate? Would be pretty amazing if they through in office space / housing for the first

Also relevant, check out the decline in Detroit at present: http://movies.netflix.com/WiMovie/Detropia/70229260?locale=e... Watched this weekend and it is available for streaming. Pretty scary to think this sort of decline could hit any

Thanks for the comment! I don't want us to ignore the situation but it seems like the laser focus we are currently putting on the subject could be a bad thing for women in general.

I love how this shallow and superficial article has been on the front page all day. I struck a chord and obviously people saw something in it. Leave it at that and stop being so negative.

I would hope that cultures aren't the norm and instead the exception. Unfortunately I am probably mistaken.

So is the imbalance addressed by showing more women that STEM is a valid choice from an early age or is it that we start at the firms and try to work your way backwards? At a certain point is it a systemic failure?

I am never surprised when this article reoccurs on HN. Don't try to rush it and continue to put in your time, that is the only way to get better at the craft.

The problem I have with mailbox is I feel that I don't get enough email in my gmail account to warrant even considering it. Most people use exchange for email, I would love to see this support it.

You could look to replace either it's all about what you see as the problem. Does your spouse email you your shopping list? Do you email yourself a to do list or do you write it down in something like Remember The Milk?

So, you guys have plans to upgrade when 1.8.7 is deprecated?

Yes, I believe that you could but founders are still going to try for both.

Find myself using it for Ruby sometimes but really wish it wasn't v1.8.7. Wonder what the reasoning behind that was.

Good question, would seem there are enough to warrant the creation of quite a few email products that are supposed to help you get to this "zen" like state. One of Mailbox App's pitch points is even along these lines: "Inbox zero. Daily.".

What would be interesting is if the project would have randomly picked one of the codebases to load so you could end up taking a spin on each.

We pay for Atlassian products at my company as well. I just call their business model the "trojan horse". I personally don't prefer their products but that is not to say they are bad.

Standard Atlassian MO for all of their products. They get you by having what would be a fairly small team in your company (usually 5 people) using their product and they are the trojan horse that then makes you end up purchasing a license.

With the way the checkout system worked wouldn't it have been better to just have developers note their intention to attend beforehand and then on sales day just hold a raffle (in batches)? Everyone gets an email when they are able to purc
