Would need an emulated MacOS GPU. The only way I could see this working is that there is a way through OS X hypervisor on Big Sur or > to passthrough metal.

The price for high levels of consistency. This is why Apple doesn't have the obsolete remnants problem that Windows does.

I'm not sure why this was ever dropped, if I remember right back in the early 2010s, this ran XP very usable on a C2D XP laptop. Pretty sure I even got 7 working at some point, the only real limit was that it absolutely could not run 6

Not sure what is required of a dev, but as an example, Adobe Premiere pro doesn't take any advantage of >1 CPU, at least on Windows. https://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/articles/Should-you-use-a-...
