Personally, I don’t see this move as a negative. It implies that a company believes in its product and potentially wants to improve it. Usually, you can tell when a product is not used by its creator(s), and it’s not a good experience.

The reason they do this is simple, money. It is much easier for a manufacturer to produce a single screen that contains all the functionality that can be adjusted on the fly using software. The alternative (and the way it has always been)
