You can't one shot a perfect app with AI. You definitely can create a pretty complex and beautiful production-ready app with AI in a couple of days or weeks depending on what exactly you're building. I now have my own link catalog

Why would any publisher want them? Who exactly tried? As a publisher, I'd want consistent subscription revenue. The goal is to convince users to pay after they hit the paywall several times.

$169 million is not too big for an endowment, especially considering how much they had been raising AND spending in the years prior. Long-term it'd be best for Wikipedia if it was self-funded through this, like Harvard, for instance.

What's esoteric is not the format specifically but whether people are knowingly using it. RSS lost when browsers dropped its native support. Would be interesting to see a world where Chrome/Safari still had clients for it.
