   It is basically another form of advertising for the business. This is an alternative to putting a blah coupon in some magazine and hoping.

   just thinking out loud, how about making the identity of the vendors that respond to you and the conversation you have with them public?

   What if that related or unrelated business that wants to approach you based on your ad for patio furniture, have to pay for that privilege. That might definitely make those auto warranty guys have second thoughts.
