i honestly like the fact these sites block access, for me its a sign they don't care about users privacy or are just too lazy to comply. I have several projects that need to comply with the GDPR, i did not feel it to be a big effort to

yeah i agree, if you use the key servers be careful with what info you use, you dont have to add email addresses either.

So far i have noticed there is no rate limiting on the sks key-servers, so i have a feeling it might be possible to upload large files.

i run a python/shell program to rsync and collect what i want backed up into one folder i then compress it and gpg encrypt it and send it to my backup server

yeah i noticed it a lot while checking profiles that there was just nothing written up at all. never really thought about it being a fake profile.

yes it is, but it should be private when your logged out, its public to those who dont have an account on okcupid
