No that's you curating the platform you own to conform with the terms of service you laid out when users signed up. Which is exactly what happened w/ the alex jones stuff, it was always against youtube's ToS.

My understanding is that yes, he could, but then Microsoft is paid for the Windows license which he does not want and will not use, so they lose out on the profit from that license by him paying more for an exclusively Linux laptop.

The "direct links" only ever redirect to the non-direct version on mobile for me. Doesn't happen on desktop though.
