So if I open a new small business and want to advertise it on AdWords or elsewhere on the internet I have no recourse? Word of mouth is random and unreliable even if you have a good product. Advertising is a healthy and essential signalling

Everywhere I have ever worked has relied on advertising for its existence, especially the ones that aren't household names. I understand how annoying some ads can be but, in general, the concept of advertising is essential to all of us

Epic Games seem to be making a gambit that if they can become a marketplace that has significant market share compared to steam all the bad will will be worth it and people will forget. Since they know this Fortnite thing is kind of a limit

Maybe I was a jaded student, but I always thought of these questions as a game of answering what I know they want me to answer. These types of questions are obviously dumb, and they shouldn't be included in multiple-choice tests.

I hear this from older developers a lot, that the problems we are solving today have been solved already. That may be true to some extent, but I think that is dangerous, the ways the problems are solved again have different characteristics

for me the biggest value to serverless functions is how nicely they tie in to the ecosystem of a cloud provider. using them to respond to storage events on s3 or database events or auth events is super easy and powerful.

It says this trip was organized by a rep from north east ohio which is the only reason they went there. Akron and Youngstown don't have the talent to develop a website, much less support more than a few tiny startups.
