Pretty basic, I buy 3 or 4 heads of chinese cabbage. Dice it up in to 1 inch squares roughly. Add grated carrots, ginger and onion. I then soak that all in salty water (about the same saltyness as the ocean) for about 4 hours. Then I rinse

Yah, I think this is the right answer. FreeSwitch is a great deal newer than asterisk and has a more logical configuration system imho. The big one is FusionPBX which is web based and runs on top of FreeSwitch - I suspect this is the main d

I think they are implying that the code of wrapping binary data up and going through an HTTP proxy might prove useful for another project.

Yes, it's "almost" comical. The advantage of having a CDN with a pop in every city, vs. just having 3 or 4 well placed POP's around the world will be marginal once HTTP3 is broadly supported.

100% agreed, I started doing this for a small project my company has. We don't really use it anymore, but it would be helpful to many hobby projects however we are now sitting here saying 3 weeks work to just give this code away? ick.

I agree, it really is to bad there isn't a better way of distributing Python. I've not had much of an issue with it running for console based pure linux stuff mind you, it tends to in my experience fall apart when you add gui elem

Never heard of this one, thanks. I used quagga years ago, and migrated to bird and never really looked back. Next time bird makes me go crazy due to its somewhat bonkers config syntax I'll be checking this out!

I run bird as part of an anycast service, but have used openbgp with great success via pfsense. Simple, clean configs. It just works, which is pretty much the best compliment you can pay for a product of the nature.
