You know, "operating just fine" is pretty relative. It the company lacked high-performance culture in the first place - yeah, it would continue to operate/decline just fine. Just a personal opinion.

What about smaller brokers with less users? Robinhood is the biggest broker in the USA, Trading 212 is the biggest broker in Europe and the UK.

You are right, we all assume Tesla is much more than a car company. BUT - to justify its current value, Tesla must monopolize all the sectors you have mentioned. Nobody takes this into account. They just claim: "Tesla has this and that
