I agree. HN has shaped the person I am. I don't have friends or co-workers that talk about topics such as depression, burnout, and personal growth. The comments posted often serve as a passive mentorship for me. I wish I didn't ha

I read the article, but I'm still stuck on why Apple is asking for IAP to be included. Is the argument: "Hey, your app works with subscription services. You need to give Apple users the option to purchase via the App Store."

Unless I'm mistaken, all three are available on iOS right now. You can reply to a specific message, you can add/remove/leave a group iMessage, and you can name (and emoticon) group chats.

Good idea. However, I browse on iOS. Is there some extensions on there to accomplish this?

I know this is a low quality comment, but I wanted to take a moment to say that I think this looks incredible. Sleek, professional, private, and packed with utility. Great work.

If you're signed into the "Calendar" app on Windows 10, you can see upcoming meetings by clicking on the time in the taskbar.

The video is a simple demonstration. If you want more details, there's an accompanying website and white paper published by MIT [1]. 1. http://people.csail.mit.edu/mrub/VisualMic/

It's not reasonable to compare on resolution alone. Not to mention, the iPhone 6S and Pixel were both flagship devices in the period OP is discussing.

I don't smoke nor am I Thai and it impacted me. The video made me think about habits I hold and how it might make me feel to see a child imitate them. Maybe it's because I see children as having endless potential and I as having a

Is there a benefit to using Slack and e-mail if there's no distinction in the use case? Perhaps that's where I'm differing from others here.

I check (and respond to) e-mails multiple times a day. I said that in the comment you're replying to. Your replies make it clear that you do not have experience at scale. Replying to e-mails in 2-3 hours is not "someone who doesn&

Slack prevents deep work. I respond to e-mails 2-4 times a day during task transitions. The sender does not anticipate an immediate response so the 1-2 hours delay is OK. Compare this to Slack which requires constant monitoring where sender

Don't forget the ugliness that is AMP. I understand the pursuit of answers rather than links, but for a variety of reasons, it's not working. DDG is nice, but the results are often lackluster (especially local results, as you say)
