The category of of ILS does not dictate its autoland status. You can do an Autoland on nearly any ILS provided the FAC is aligned with the RWY. A CAT IIIB ILS will permit in most states a landing with a radio altitude of 0.

Sounds like shit to me. 16hr long haul and everytime the other guy needs to piss you get woken up. Then you both have to fly the approach completely cooked from the shit rest. And thats without wx or diversions. Clearly not thought out.

I think the difference is like you say in the real aircraft you can get a lot more task saturated. A sim feels like being a fly on the wall almost as if in 3rd person. But as far as manual handling goes, the real jet is much easier, runway
