On a Rubiks cube, the center tile always remains constant. I was surprised at this when I accidentally broke one apart to find a static 3d cross piece to each cube face (e.g. a non-moving tile). Everything else rotates around it

Left 4 Dead handled this pretty well in my opinion (i.e. mob spawning behind if you're playing too slowly or a tank in front if you're going too quick). I absolutely hated the dynamic adjusting in games like Mario Kart, though.

It's something very new (I think as of the 9.2 version?). I haven't tried it because I don't have quite the need to let it do it's own thing yet.

If you're not opposed to card games, Five Crowns [1] is a house staple in both sides of my family. It will require multiple people. Sagrada [2] is a fun game as well. Can be played solo, but I find it more fun with others. [1] https

We used QBasic, but I don't recall what version (maybe 4.5?). Codepage 437 looks similar to what I recall seeing, though.

Doesn't it have those characters via extended ASCII? I seem to recall making boxes with characters back in my BASIC class.
