Built custom firmware for my Line 6 Pod GO HD guitar multi-fx the other day. Turned into a complete midi controller so it wasn't gathering dust. Fun times!

If you can use a custom chip yep, if it's commodity hardware probably not. You could use secure boot/secure memory etc but that can be a footgun in itself later.

This is great stuff, I feel like fast disk (SSD) is a somewhat solvable problem, if you have many disks with the same content and a fast controller (?).

Interesting that it doesn't specifically call out Anti-Virus scanning (which does occasionally result in at least one of these scenarios). I've seen many SQLite database become corrupted and the best you can do is have a backup.

It's a shame because it's a great little guitar practice tool and the thing it was inspired by has long since been left to rot. However they will be relaunching soon as fee[dB]ack and are likely to end up bigger than the original.

Nice, surprised this isn't attracting more comments. Obviously it's an AI-first development and it doesn't render a lot of stuff but it's still impressive. We'll see more of these and hopefully with standard license

"Can I Get Claude to Fly A Plane" isn't the same thing. Interesting though, would be a good test for different models but it relies on the test harness being good enough that a human could also use the same info to achieve
