Things that annoy me on mac: - there's no volume mixer (each app having an individual volume slider) - no window snapping (before I bought BetterTouchTool, which includes window snapping, I had windows everywhere and it was just a mess

I'm hoping they finally bring native tabs to their file explorer. It's annoying to have to open multiple windows if you want to browse multiple directories. In addition, I'm hoping for a "column view" like mac has.

As discussed in the article, the point is to quickly set up vim on fresh linux installations (e.g. virtual machines). For the vim on your own pc, you would likely use the full version, in addition to whatever extra config you prefer.

I'm probably missing something obvious but... Should white skin not reflect sunlight more, and dark skin absorb it more? I agree that northerners have more need to absorb sunrays and hence make more vitamin D, so shouldn't they be

No mention of dask? So far I haven't really had a need for larger-than-memory arrays, but dask would be my go-to choice.

At least in astrophysics, the standard is to let your paper go through peer review first, then post the paper once accepted. In the arXiv comments, you then put "Accepted by <journal>". Besides offering the papers for free,
