doesn’t really matter what the problem is attributed to when not enough is being done about either way (at least in the case of the US, can’t speak for Germany) I'd be all for attributing it to not sweeping forests well enough if that

it’s a race to the bottom, no one thinks about the door usability so the cheap glass one wins (they might even eschew a push plate because of potential fingerprints on the glass) - when you’re building cookie cutter offices no one cares abo

the first door in their video is built that way because you can choose which way it opens… a lot of poor ux is a cost cutting effort. It can be frustrating to find building fixtures that exist between lazy low-end and overthought high-end.

sure but you also have to consider that big corps often lobby against solutions… busting them up isn’t the sole solution, but it probably helps

a lot of it can be rolled into “diversity is better” IMO - lots of diverse types of leaders, diverse strategies, perspectives, risks, failures, etc… mega large companies don’t give us as much benefit as they’d like us to think… I’d even arg

if you have 2 big companies they’re “too big to fail” and can better whether lawsuits with massive legal teams, settlement money, pr firms… if you have a thousand smaller companies you can bankrupt 100 and be ok
