Such a bizzare way to respond. Laptop being thinner is a trade off you're willing to make, I am not. Charging a battery with another battery is extremely inefficient. Lugging around laptop batteries is exactly the same thing as lugging

The usual reasoning behind this is to confirm the phone is properly functioning before opening it up. Lots of people try to scam repair shops bringing broken phones in. On top of that repairs can often break fingerprint scanner connections
