Mark the tax treaty checkbox on the W8BEN. This solves all issues, assuming that your company is established in a jurisdiction with a tax treaty.

Note that Amazon DynamoDB has no built-in referential integrity so I generate the code for it. For example, the code in subscription:create updates both User and Publisher "tables".

That must be the Longhua plant (Foxcon City) because no way I would want to live near the Guanlan one ;-). I spent a few weeks at the Guanlan iPhone factory at the end of 2010, debugging my device driver.
