This is entirely on the author. Sure these vendors make awful products and poorly maintain them - but nobody is forcing anyone to buy them or integrate them into their house. I have yet to hear, or especially see, these devices make anybody

I’m the outlier among my friends- I grew up in the suburbs and I absolutely love them and want to go back. Nobody else I know does. Granted, my city is huge and so living in the city feels more suburban than living downtown would.

Same thing. Went digging for the save icon - interesting that the continuous save feature drops the floppy icon. I think as we move to more cloud hosted documents and stuff we'll see floppy drop out for some looped paper kind of thing.
