Is there somewhere I can read more about your setup/experience with your streaming site? I currently run a (legal :) streaming site but have it hosted on AWS and have been exploring moving everything over to a big server. At this point

I'm not saying that Next.js is good or bad but we deploy our Next.js app in a docker container and it's never been an issue. I'm curious what issues you had?

Have you used redux-sagas on any projects before this one? How do you feel it compares with redux-thunk? I've used redux-thunk for all of my past projects but recently inherited a project using sagas. It seems to be pretty unorganized

It's not about control it's about ease of use. You can get a cheap shared hosting account and upload your php site in minutes without configuring a thing. Not everyone wants or needs to manage a server. Think about a small busines

I understand that. I guess I was commenting more on the general messiness he was describing. I can empathize with it is all. I can see how quickly and easily it happens in the small apps I build, I can't imagine how hard it would be to

They've been going 100mph for years now. It doesn't come as a surprise to me that they haven't gone back and made it pretty. While not even remotely on the same scale, I just spent 3 weeks building an app as fast as possible

That's good advice. I've worked up and down the stack but recently have had great success in marketing myself as a front-end dev. You're right though, I shouldn't get stuck in that mindset. Thanks for the reminder :)

Anima does seem really great. As a front-end dev seeing this stuff makes me happy and slightly anxious for the future. On one hand, styling basic marketing sites manually is boring and I would happily use this if it fits easily into my work
