C++ also happen to use the term zero-cost abstractions along with RAII since 2011 but Chandler Carruth “There Are No Zero-cost Abstractions” You can watch and see what they really are. I bet this is true for Rust as-well.

npm maybe bloated but I'd say it's better than pip. pip is insane, you have to set up virtual env (hurts UX) but with node you don't have to.

Rust doesn't have first class WASM support. It lacks many things Emscripten provides to C++. I'd say C++ has first class support for WASM. Very straightforward to get start!!
