This has always been pretty clear. But, also effective. Lots of congresspeople and MPs still read the NY Times, Guardian, etc.. Facebook also has no political 'country', being a big company (left wing hate) based in San Francisco

This is a point that's understated. Problems in the stock market hurt the real economy, problems in the crypto market hit an insular community of people who are trying to scam each other, much less of a societal issue.

Ottawa, Canada wasn't purpose-built but was an insignificant city meant to be a neutral choice of capital between Anglo and Francophone Canada. This has also worked fine.
