I noticed recently that I can use Deepseek for many general tasks and save loads of money on tokens. I wonder if there is any correlation.

I did a DDG search for "apple advertising". The summary under the page link says: > Reach customers where only Apple Ads can take you ads.apple.com clearly promotes exclusive access to advertise to Apple users on Apple devices.

The iD editor built into the openstreetmap.org site is really easy to use. Sign up. Navigate to where your trails are. At the top left of the page, hit 'Edit'. At the top of the map area, select the Add Feature > 'Line

Thank you. This seems like a pretty straight-forward clarification of current law. The current thread title (OP said taken from Reuters) saying this side-steps the law seems misleading.

For the longest time 10-bit color was only available on their professional cards. All it took was a driver update to unlock it on their consumer cards.

My example is I'm looking for a new media creation machine to replace my homebuilt PC from 2015. Since that old machine can't run Windows 11 and also because Apple storage is so expensive, my idea is to turn the PC into a Linux st

In Osmand+ you can go to Menu > Configure Map > POI overlay and select Surveillance. It shows not only ALPRs but all of the other surveillance nodes.

All of this is my fault. I decided to start learning programming about 6 years ago as a possible new career path. The universe was not going to have that so AI was created.

This is the type of discussion I come to HN for. Some kind of weather app challenge would be fun. Vote for the best balance of features vs efficiency.

There is a medical office building near my house along my walking route. It has a fancy, detached, fully enclosed generator building. When the generators are running the place emits a really high-pitched whine. I can hear it approaching fro

I find the modded import scene was much bigger around 15 to 20 years ago. About 5 years ago it was loud Mustangs and Camaros. Now, down here in the deep south, pickup trucks are by far the most obnoxious. (source: I walk around my city ever
