unlikely I think, they're likely doing this to garner some interest in their company but they seem pretty interested in revenue (judging by the companies they're working with)

not saying what the EU does is a good thing but why don't I ever see any legislations like this from the US? we'd still have lightning on iPhones if it wasn't for the EU so some of what they introduce is net positive...

do all social media sites not suffer from the same issues or am I wrong? e.g., snapchat, tiktok, youtube? Why is Meta being singled out?

The goal for anthropic is safe AGI. A) this model is dangerous in the hands of consumers. B)They do not want China to train on these models.

why does it matter to you if it's AI or not? if you enjoy a song you shouldn't resent it just because it's AI generated. Me personally there's many AI songs that I like and enjoy listening to.

Sure it's not as good as Claude right now but for their first model in years it's certainly not bad. I hope they continue to develop models, having another competitor in the space would be nice.

Agreed, his two posts read really weirdly. He made a deliberately vague(?) initial post to get a response and I'm not sure how I feel about his story as you've said, if I was Sam Altman I'd be wary of anyone coming up to me t

Maybe unpopular opinion but I think at this point SWE-Bench has done its part and we need a new benchmark because Gemini being on/near the same level as Claude is obviously wrong

We really need it possible to push laws faster, 2026 is going to be an insane year for multimodal models and laws are simply not keeping up.
