Well said. Ideas are not scarce, only the physical realm is. Its not hard to envision the coder being paid to code; when no more code is being written, there are no more checks coming in. Nobody is owed anything based on past accomplishment

I actually knew Unity/mir was doomed over 2 years ago. I can also say aptitude is doomed. Nix or a derivative renders imperative system management obsolete.

The problem isn't software. Let's say I have a dozen engineers to develop a mobile UI on top of BSD. What do we use? Nothing, Nada, rien. There is no real hardware. Even Linus can make a kernel, if there is hardware to develop it
