The problem is compounded by the fact that students do not get to choose who their loan servicer is and thus a few servicers like Navient have a government approved monopoly on that business. Can look up many reports on their incompetence a

Highly doubt it. All the employees who came forward were jr customer service agents. Would anyone actually believe that board members would even know who they were, track them individually down and know why they left the company?

A lot of people travel and need luggage as well. I’m not suggesting Away would ever be worth anything close to Nike but is it realistic to think it could be worth several billion? Sure.

You realize Lululemon makes yoga pants and has a valuation of $30B right? And Nike makes shoes and has a valuation of $150B? You don’t need to be a “tech” company to build something worth billions.

I don’t really understand why people say a tax on owned capital is so far fetched when we are all okay with property taxes which is literally a wealth tax on a subset of owned capital. The only difference is that property taxes are regressi

A middle of the road developer can make all of those things. You don’t need a 10x ninja in SF who demands 500k/year to do that. Highly doubt Schwab has really been competing on salary in SF for tech roles as is.

Schwab isn’t exactly competing for the “tech” talent pool so there isn’t anything particularly special about staying in SF vs elsewhere for them.

It’s pretty disappointing. Their share price has been completely flat since IPO. I’m surprised shareholders have not revolted against Jack being a part time CEO. Clearly there needs to be some dedicated focus to clean up the app. So much po

Not sure what you mean by “super placebo”? Doesn’t seem right at all. The reason why these drugs are more effective in combination with therapy is because they, speaking from personal experience, “unlock” your mind in a way that can be cond

LAX international terminal tip: there’s a “secret” security check entrance on the baggage claim level meant for people who are connecting (and therefore needing to pick up bags) but they will let anyone use it. The regular security line can

Not really following your logic. Why do you care as a customer if there’s variation in KYC requirements from vendor to vendor? Also not sure why this makes handling ID information “safer.” The vendor using this service still has access to a

It’s understandable it’s a touchy subject. Why piss off China if you don’t have to? Only something to lose and nothing to gain. Also this story of a Chinese Stanford professor/investor’s “suicide” last year is quite the story. There’s

Generally these coupon sites all make money the exact same way - through affiliate programs that pay them some % of the purchase price for referring a customer to their site. Honey shares the savings with the customer.

I really want to try DMT but terrified to do that without professional help nearby e.g. on an Ayahuasca retreat. I have experienced both LSD and shrooms but have heard DMT is on another level.

Well unsure about other minority groups but at least with LBGT communities the biggest are specifically in urban coastal cities. San Francisco is smaller than, say, San Antonio or Columbus but obviously has a much higher % of LGBT residents

I feel like the decision is very different if you’re gay (speaking as a gay male). Urban centers are pretty much the only places with gay culture, and the idea of moving outside of one of those centers is hard to imagine. It’s tough because
