“Pop” gets used in the UK sometimes but I’ve only heard it in northern England. Never heard Soda anywhere in the UK though, apart from the specific case of cream soda.

Yes, pretty much all knowledge management in biology is built upon technologies that came from the semantic web community, and biology is certainly not just academia. There's not much application for knowledge graphs in e.g. a CRUD app

Sorry that was poorly worded - I love the SNES aesthetic and of course hope it’s here to stay. I meant “moving on” as in chronologically to the styles that came afterwards. As though we gradually iterate through the past, marking each era a

I can’t imagine not being in the “multi DPI” scenario though? It’s not some edge feature that affects a minority of power users, it’s just plugging an external display into a laptop. The DPIs almost never line up - not since high DPI displa

3 has worked perfectly on ScummVM for at least a decade, and you can buy it on Gog. 4 is indeed very much a pain (and so are the controls). The PS2 version is better than the PC version in my experience.

CoMI (which is 25 years old) definitely is a classic to my generation, who mostly played it before any of the other games. It just gets complained about by older folks who played 1 & 2 first because Ron Gilbert wasn’t involved - which I

OWL2 does a good job of formalising these things. What they call concepts and categories would be Classes in OWL. What they call data would be Individuals.

The salaries suck but this is the UK. If you’re in the correct social class to be an academic you should have your own independent means, and use your academic salary as nothing more than rent for the townhouse you’re staying in while away

I also use a Model M. they don’t make them like that any more! I use an IDE to SD card adapter rather than CF, as SD cards are super cheap and easy to image.
