   Actually yeah I do want to keep MY medial stuff in a directory ; but that doesn't mean that it's unsecured, unmanaged and not backed up. Ultimately all data ends up on the filesystem in one way or another if it's large enough

   The thing that is amazing about imagemagick/graphicsmagick is the fact that they can open 100+ formats. That is not something to be taken for granted. Other than that... they feel kind of old. Video++ feels really new, I'm excit

   Is there some kind of distinction between fame and recognizability? I wouldn't consider Alex from Target famous, but he isn't exactly a stranger. I think we need to carve out more definitions for fame; something more than either

   rawspeed won't let you extract the thumbnail. Also, the reason I suggested dcraw is because it's one C file and that makes things a lot easier, especially when compiling to javascript.

   Have you thought about compiling dcraw to javascript with emscripten? I'm not sure what the performance would be like, but I've seen this work in the past.

    Do the Firefox releases have anything to do with the Spidermonkey releases? I've been seeing the placeholder page for Spidermonkey 31 for a couple of months now...
