Yes even things like git are comparitively slow on wsl. Emacs in windows is also slow, haven't found a solution to this.

Well said, exactly this is the point. For devs a Mac is more comfortable to get things done with than with surface.

Great point, if something like this is done and students gets into learning and contributing to open source it is going to have a tremendous improvement on the quality of software.

They can make changes in user space and in application space and not share the source since only the kernel is GPL

Got the same advice from some of my friends. Sounds right- try something cheap, learn the various pros and cons and the thing that suits us the best and then go for a more professional guitar.

Which guitar model would the community recommend to a beginner who is used only to computer keyboards ;-). Can we start with an electric guitar or an acoustic guitar will work better for learning.

True, I have the urge to check my mails often when my system lies in front of me, I made it a point to keep my laptop inside its case before sleeping and this has reduced the email urge to a great extent.

It is not a dummy company, it should be a company with significant backing, may be it should have been put up in a hurry. I was expecting something of this sort when many politicians and their kin started acting in movies and buying stakes

The course contents doesn't open on a android tablet. It says loading... for sometime, and it just stops after that. I tried with stock browser and Dolphin browser and both have the same issue.

eclim would be a better fit if i am going to use emacs as my do-everything IDE. I found that eclim has even a connector for emacs as it has for vim.
