Block the AWS IP ranges. You will have reasonably good results blocking all datacenter ranges - cloud providers, VPSs etc., if you don't expect traffic from them. You can get the ranges from Udger (paid) and it isn't very bad w.r.

Yes - I haven't used ChatGPT so far. I initially tried to not read what the Google AI summarized, since I did not trust it, but these days, if I know enough about the subject to identify errors, I do read the summaries.

Badly configured bot protection. It'll look at user agent headers and try to fingerprint the browser (some form of fpjs2 or similar,) and then decide. Very error prone.
