Yes, can't remember who said it but LLM's always hallucinate, it is just that they are 90 something percent right.

I believe we can still do them for fun, for practice. But having them readily available (also, tested) when you are trying to build something is much better.

Great gameplay. I love stuff like this where you are having fun with a game while learning or using some knowledge. I would like to recommend something else than Gemini by the way, my experience was not good with it.

In academia, I see academics using ChatGPT to write papers. They get help with definitions, they even give the related work PDFs to it and make it write the part. No one fact checks. Students; they use it to write reports, homeworks and cod

Like the gfycat filenames. I would love to see a reference to them, I believe they popularized this approach.

It is very hard to do testing on theoretical side of things. It is also possible to cheat on experimental results. On top of that, it eliminates the possibility of redoing (or publishing previously done results) if there is no significant c

We should give a damn. As you said, anyone can publish anything on the internet, how would we know whether it is valid or not? Peer-review is important. I know it is not working great, but it is working to some degree.

Can't we do the same thing with python, flask? Yes, not compiled and strongly typed but it's still easy to instantiate a web server with a few lines of code, no?

same here in Turkey. https://dergipark.org.tr/en has a lot of journals free of access. One can also find the phd and msc thesis too in https://tez.yok.gov.tr/UlusalTezMerkezi/giris.jsp

If they are teaching the specific research topic, yes. Otherwise, you need to come up with 14-week course material for different courses.

I have the same problem. It is a good language to teach to non-cs majors. If you want to build something out of the box, use Python. However, GPT is coming and maybe we won't even use Python anymore for simpler tasks.

Apart from the iCloud fiasco, I very much like these kind of programming. We generally lost the fun of it try to make enterprise/corporate programs, we forgot to use them for personal tasks.

I like watching Tsoding in my spare time and I love what he calls "recreational programming". That is what we need imho, more recreational programming.
