I gave up on Gnome, there are many things that I had to tweak to have productive environment, and I don't like to be part of experiments(Gnome 40) on my machines. I simply moved to i3/sway, best decision ever.

It starts quickly because everything is lazy loaded, if you open project it will start language server, start indexing etc, It's definitely not much faster than IntelliJ, but functionality is still behind.

It worked on Fedora 31, but they did noticeably improvment in F32. If you are fun of Wayland I recommend to check Sway.

You can install "moby-engine" (docker-ce 19.03.8) from Fedora repos instead, I think docker doesn't care about repo for fedora as they lag few months every release.

Well, it is. However it's much easier with resolutions perfect for 2x scaling, so 4k on 15" XPS works great. As for fractional scaling (needed for 4k on 14/13") it's still kinda work in progress, I think it will be

You are right that enterprises are lagging 1-2 years behind current windows build, but in many of them WSL is seen as major improvement for developers. Fortunately I am allowed to run Linux, so I don't care :)

One caveat is that WSL2 needs Hyper-V, and many anti-cheats won't work with it (many CS:GO anticheats, I think it will be true for many multiplayer shooters).

Well, competitors are still behind Apple. They offer worse touchpad, worse screens (it's either 16:9 or weird resolution), no macOS, worse speakers, worse microphone, worse battery.
