Is your statement not a false dichotomy? I like 1 particular brand of backpack with a slightly prominent logo on it. I do not believe there is an equivalent quality made by a brand without the logo I buy.

Point #4 is totally on point! I slice lots of apples to share with my kid and there is such an unexpected difference depending on the variety we buy. Some apples really benefit from being cut into wedges!
