I bought a 12 Pro Max around the time the 13s came out, still at 92% max battery capacity, and still feels very snappy. Every year I wonder if the new models are going to entice me to upgrade, and every year I find myself saying meh.

I think this was just worded a bit wrong in the newsletter. In the actual code, it is set to the refresh rate of the screen itself.
