Who even makes a good non-smart tv these days? I'm not going to limit my watching experience just to avoid a tv having apps.

The first two don’t negate a vps option. 3. People greatly over estimate the amount of work it takes to setup a vps, especially with a OS deployment service like Coolify and the like. Takes less than an hour. You act like it’s a full time j

Your aim was to duplicate Linear because that's what you did. Shame on you. This is disgusting.

I'm personally disgusted by it and I'm not associated or even a customer/user of Linear. Also shocked by people not caring.

This sucks. You should be embarrassed for yourself. The blatant ripping off is disgusting. Do better Harshith, this is not it.

Is there anything we can actually do to push back on this? I get we can long term just not buy their products, but it feels like there needs to be more urgent action then that.

I personally don’t understand the desire to have an ugly tool just because it’s minimal. You can have minimal and not have it be ugly.

It works well with a very specific stack of chosen tools. Not to say it won’t scale to others but if you aren’t a react dev using tailwind and shadcn it’s useless for now.

It’s fine but at least try with the ui. It’s like they spent 2 min on it.

Death by 1000 $65/year apps and services. Sorry but because everything is a subscription it’s harder and harder to justify adding another on the stack.

How is this different than a big brand stealing a design and putting it on a Tshirt? The product in question is a video and it used art without permission.

At this point there needs to be a notice when Reddit isn't down.

Steve is very clearly stuck in a position where he has to kill 3rd party apps, but you really have to think there was a much better way to go about doing this. His AMA right now is embarrassing.

I could see this as a Digg moment for reddit. They've made no effort to put out quality software of their own and will kill some of the best experiences for using Reddit.
