   I don't think that is the prevailing sentiment. GPU still means Graphics Processing Unit to me and most tech people I know. I think it's more just in the folding and crypto communities that people have repurposed the initialism.

   Then they shouldn't be suing imo. Suing implies they think they shouldn't have been fired, which means their risk was not intentional. So they're not heroes.

   If I can make a full scale model of the Burj Khalifa in minecraft survival then I don't begrudge this guy doing his thing. And hacker news is where I come to read about random projects like this.
