We use a loose version of it in my small company. It helps with two things: - 1. A little easier to be consistent across projects so not to reinvent the wheel every time - 2. The prefix increments as new folders are added during a project,

We use and swear by Opalstack.com, which is made by some of the same peeps that worked for the may-as-well-be-defunct Webfaction. Full SSH access, generous limits, very active community.

The menu is not fixed for me, it scrolls with the rest. It’s just permanently “expanded” as a vertical stack, but perhaps that’s intentional. (iOS latest, iPhone 8)

I found NextDNS to be relatively convenient and easy to set up even for a lay audience. Definitely easier than a PiHole or a custom `dnsmasq` setup, and it offers mobile configuration client apps. What I do not know is if it will work also

My approach these days: 1. Hot live data on my laptop. 2. Archive dir on NAS. It’s either 1 or 2, no overlap. Then: 1. Backup whole laptop to USB bootable drive “when I fancy”. 2. Backup home dir to NAS using duplicacy. This is accessible v
