I hope this doesn’t get confusing like ChatGPT made it. I feel like Claude has some of the best UX, and hope this doesn’t dilute the experience.

The more I learn about octopus, the more they seem like alien species. They have something like 8 different brains, can regenerate limbs, incredibly smart, can change colors & texture to match surrounds, and more.

I’m in a weird spot because my iPad is old and my iPhone old. So I’m in the market to buy new ones of each. So I’m now having to decide if I just buy the Duo … instead of a new phone and new iPad. But seems like a worse phone and worse iPad

My understanding is that MotherDuck provides hosting for DuckDB. And DuckLabs is the engineering behind DuckDB. If I'm correct, this seems like a signal that AWS is coming after the segment of customers wanting to host DuckDB (MotherDu

That’s a great point. Managing cash for a merchant also brings real costs as well. You have to take it to the bank or pay a service to pick up cash. You’re way more likely to have “leakage” when any cashier can pocket cash. Etc

Issuing banks typically add an FX fee to the cardholder for cross border transactions. Not always, but many times they do.

To be more specific, this is a US credit card topic. Debit card fees are capped in the US, yet I’ve never received a discount from a merchant for paying with debit instead of credit. As such, I just pay with credit and have never understood

OpenAI/Anthropic/etc don’t establish the direct customer relationship. And OpenRouter can steer traffic away from those labs over to their own model. The major labs don’t get personalized data about the user to train on, since it’

Can someone help me understand why OpenAI, Anthropic & other proprietary models would want to make their offerings available on OpenRouter? It seems strategically not in their interest.

I respect Seth quite a bit and have been an avid reader for two decades, but this post struck me as odd. It reads as though he’s just discovering how the digital advertising industry works (and he's a marketer) ... not just Amazon, but
