Fluentd ( https://www.fluentd.org ) is a great alternative to Logstash that I've had a lot of success with. It is easy to pair with Elasticsearch and Kibana and myriad other inputs and outputs.

I also remember the extremely poor customer service provided by taxi cabs. Dirty cars, rude drivers who acted as if they were doing you a favor instead of engaging in a business transaction. The taxi cartels are no better than Uber and Lyft

At prior company we used Secor to backup Kafka topics to S3 and would use to replay/reingest data with success. If I were to reimplement Kafka somewhere new it would definitely be one of my "Go to Production" requirements.

Hulu on my Apple TV 4K works great for me. I've been very impressed although I also have a good experience with Netflix and Amazon Prime and I do have a fiber internet connection.

Respectfully, that's not a good reason to use public cloud providers like AWS. They provide features and tooling that make building redundancy into your services easier but for many of these redundancy features you must integrate them
