Those are set by the site requesting the login though. I believe what they are referring to is custom permissions set by the person logging in, regardless of what the app itself requested. e.g. login, disable all writes, all attempted repo

Waypipe looks interesting. The main advantage of x forwarding for me was when I'd randomly need it and had nothing set up ahead of time. Hopefully it starts getting installed in distros by default eventually.

They're on the die. efuses existed on the ps3 and 360 too. The 360 used them to prevent downgrades, but the ps3 used all of theirs to store bluray drive keys.

A few ps3 games I've seen had 4GB or more binaries. This was a problem because code signing meant it needed to be completely replaced by updates.
