Why sent to the bin? The devices still work. I recently used my series 3 for a couple of weeks and it worked surprisingly well.

I'm surprised people like Face ID so much, it very often doesn't work for me. I frequently want to unlock a phone when I'm not looking at it or my face is not visible. Having Touch ID is a feature for me.

About visiting new sites, that's not a problem in practice, even HN mostly shows the same websites. About my experience, I am relatively happy with the current state of affairs. I don't want websites to use my personal information

Sounds like you’re not accepting the cookie banners in a meaningful way. Accept all cookies and never clear them - then you see no cookie banners.

I’m a happy OVH user, their free static hosting (part of their paid domain service) is enough for my needs. I’ve been using that platform for more than 10 years now. At the same time I like that there are more alternatives.
