I can relate to this. The "permission" aspect also cuts both ways sometimes, because I learned to be cautious and then _that_ became the thing I was doing wrong, according to others, who berated me for not being assertive enough.

I just encountered this. FYI You can use v2 which still retains commonjs support.

The incompatibility is indeed exponentiated with TypeScript. There is currently no non-hacky way for using both legacy modules and ES Modules in the same project, and many libraries on NPM have moved to ESM-only. TypeScript's transpila

Absolutely this. It's not necessarily communicated that well in the article, but this is the main reason people are frustrated.

The worst one for me is the lack of visual feedback after clicking on a link. It makes me question whether I clicked properly and leads me to click again.

I have the same experience. I also overshot "assertive," but the alternative was that everyone would continue to steamroll me to the point of despair. Assertive wasn't enough to safeguard my dignity. It is indeed exactly as y

Dark mode has somehow reached meme status on the Internet, not unlike bacon, in that everyone now essentially either "f'ing loves" it or is (jokingly) deemed an untermensch. Personally, I was never into dark mode so this arti

Smooth scroll that snaps to set scroll levels is absolutely infuriating. I question the psychological integrity of anyone who thinks it's a good idea; how much of a control freak must you be to want to micromanage people's scrolli

Wasn't Allen Ginsburg also in favor of child abuse?... He was a member of NAMBLA... At least Moloch isn't real.

Another famous person currently fighting it is Alex Trebek. Stage IV. And sadly, he just had a relapse.

I love reading about nutrition so I just happened to read several articles about K2 which prompted me to look at the relevant research. K2 is pretty big in ketogenic circles, so there's quite a bit of content written about it, although

I'm not aware of any research that establishes how it affects dental plaque, but there is research that suggests it dissolves arterial plaque, which is, in part, made of calcium (hence the cardiac calficiation score), and there is suff

I've been a reader of health and nutritional science for many years. Yes, I researched vitamin K2 before taking it. No, I am not into random bro-science. I am highly objective and have been able to achieve good results with various nut

I used to have to go to the dentist every 5-6 months in order to remove built-up plaque that kept returning. After starting supplementation with vitamin K2 every few days (a combination of MK-4 500mcg and Mk-7 100mcg), within a few weeks th

FYI I've selected Svelte for an enterprise project and after using it for some time, it seems to have some pretty big issues. I would honestly call the current release a beta version. In particular, there is a _lot_ of flakiness with r

I've toyed around with the template-strings-to-markup approach before, but couldn't quite figure out how using `map` to generate dynamic lists avoided doing a full O(n) loop upon each update without some kind of diffing engine (ot
