Besides Tex there is also git. Written only as a SCM for the linux kernel it went on to be used basically anywhere.

Actually the trapped without internet thing makes me think. Why not do some sort of dead-man-switch? I.e. when you haven't committed (or been online) in X months the project is transferred to your successor.

No and that is IMO the point of using OSM in the first place. The data is public and free for everyone and if you contribute there's the possibility of other services adopting your change. I know that mapbox integrates osm data, Google

apparently co2's density is only slightly higher than the other gases, so they all mix. Otherwise all of the atmosphere's co2 would be at ground level too, wouldn't it?

Don't swift and rust share a few of these things that make it "feel right"? With rust the whole ecosystem thing seems to be a lot better. Also rust has C(++) interop (so you have every library you could wish for), does swift

It states that amazon deforestation is driven by demand for beef and leather. Presumably leather is easier to transport and hence global leather demand plays a role here? Just a guess though.

I find the Markor app (open source) great for editing text files, you can also customize it quite a bit. Then for uploading possibly syncthing would work. (I do this to sync my text files between my PC and phone, works great)

not really, there's postmarketOS. Although only a handful of devices work well, you can still get some use out of many phones.
