Foreign propaganda is much easier to spot. It is the domestic propaganda that was legalized in the 2012 Smith-Mundt Modernization act that concerns me.

Anecdotally, this seems to be much less prevalent in the US due to cultural differences. I live in Chicago and their is a 7 cent surcharge for bags. I'd say 1/3 of people actually bring their own even after this has been in place

I've starting using rclone over rsync for this application. Rclone can do segmented transfers and handles large numbers of files better, at least in my experience.

I agree that the fixation on cars in urban/population dense areas is a problem and the overall use of cars in these areas should be offset by public transportation. I feel like the one in five Americans that live in rural areas is left

If there is one national resource that should be publicly owned in the United States it is water. There is a place for distributers, but water should be controlled by the public and used in its best interest.
