Also every release of the .NET framework to my knowledge ships with the "csc.exe" and "vbc.exe" compilers. So C# and Visual Basic.NET are available out of the box with modern versions of Windows as well. No IDE support

I think it's much simpler than that. The reason why Android updates are so broken compared to iOS and Windows is the lack of a stable driver ABI. Fuschia would fix that.

I second this. Garmin's wearables are excellent. My Instinct gets almost 2 weeks if battery life with approximately 30 minutes of GPS run tracking 5 days a week.
