I think the tools are not simpler as being simplist, but easier to use, maybe by having clearer objectives and design than it's predecessor. Also, it was not long ago that put a web system was hardm with lot's of workaround or us

This article is confusing two different things: engineer and the tools used by the engineers. It's not like the tools will ever substitute an engineer or exist one tool to rule all other tools or even one tool that do everything. What

there are a ton of software application that do not go well with github. Mr Johnson should have put a scope in his posting explaining the very very very very limited field his opinion is valid.

Yes, but tools such as Taleo does not help the user, as it is likely the user will be typing the same information many times. This free the user to write better cover letters and emails. Thinking from a HR perspective, maybe linkedin API c

I agree with you, but now that I'm searching for a job, I'm seeing a lot of integration with linkedin where you can apply by clicking just one button, what is better than complete a huge form for every job offer.

I agree. Also , who starts a research without the faint idea of how and where to look? Reading a book for me would be pre-research. At least in a company, where we have r&D.
