Every person I know with a PhD now in their 40s and 50s (7 people) doesn’t have a family and wished they did and didn’t have a PhD. I’d love to see a study on that. I’m never bothered because it looked like too much effort for little money.

Yes unfortunately. When you buy "enthusiast boards" which is everything that Dell and HP etc don't ship these days then you have literally no idea what crappy BIOS and software configuration you are inheriting.

Tried an MSI B550 initially. Think the second one was an Asus B550. The CPU swap did work ok the original board! But at that point I was using the Lenovo box. So I just sold all the crap on eBay for the next victim.

I don’t think I’ve ever searched for anything in either of those. I usually google what I want and look for reviews, mostly ending up on Reddit. Then I search for that app on the store. This is the same with the Play Store and windows store
