We are taking the reading experience very seriously and thus, dynamic type is definitely in the pipeline. As for higher contrast theme, one of the theme in Pro version (the Robin) is specifically made for that people who prefer high contras

Trust me (and us), we wanted to make the best HN reading experience on Android devices as well, but we are totally short of hands, therefore iOS for now.

That's what I thought too - that's why I am just curious if there is any great example that founded only by one designer founder, though I totally understand the importance of having a co-founder with strong technical background.

I have a Moto 360 and I used it everyday. Mainly using it for notification peek to see if I needed to respond immediately on them when the phone is in my pocket - I only turned on the notification for the apps that I cared about. Also often

That's true, but that's where you have the door sign says 'DND', at least the hotels that I have stayed so far have this 'feature'.

Sounds interesting, but for me, I think I would still prefer a more 'human' environment for hotel - robots might be highly efficient on some tasks, but they will never able to replace the 'human' part, which I thoroughly

I think he has some valid points in his rant, although I must say I enjoyed my Paperwhite 1st Gen very much and I don't find those issues (especially on the justification and font choices) to be a blocker for me from enjoying the books

It's about the display with 8K resolution, not 8 thousand monitors. Good to see that they are prepare to be future-proof for the next 5-10 years.
